• A large proportion of CoNS nosocomial isolates has been shown to be resistant to multiple antimicrobial agents, including methicillin and other drugs commonly used in treating staphylococcal infections. For this reason, glycopeptide antibiotics (vancomycin and teicoplanin) are often used to treat CoNS infections1,2. However, in recent years, CoNS, especially S. epidermidis, with elevated minimal inhibitory concentrations (MICs) to teicoplanin (MIC = 8 or ≥ 16 mg/L) have been reported4,5,6,7,8,9. In addition, we detected a rapid increase in the incidence of S. epidermidis strains with MIC ≥ 16 mg/L at our hospital in 2021.

• Glauconite’s behavior poses a “significant risk” to offshore wind development, said a paper published this year by the U.S. Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, the lead regulator of offshore wind. • We further investigated the relationship between birthweight z-score and FA of white matter skeleton separately in children of diabetic mothers and children with other risk factors for hypoglycaemia (small or large birthweight, and preterm). We found that a lower birthweight z-score was associated with FA of white matter skeleton in the left inferior longitudinal fasciculus and inferior fronto-occipital fasciculus in children with other risk factors for hypoglycaemia but not in children of diabetic mothers, but the interaction terms were not significant (p-value for interaction = 0.61).
